To charge the battery in the Olympus DM-420 Digital Voice Recorder, follow these steps:
1. Connect one end of the included USB cable to the USB port on the recorder.
2. Connect the other end of the USB cable to a USB port on your computer.
3. The battery will start charging automatically when the recorder is connected to the computer.
4. The battery icon on the LCD screen will indicate the charging status.
5. Once the battery is fully charged, the battery icon will stop flashing and remain solid.
