To start recording with the Sony ICD-BX700 Digital Voice Recorder, follow these steps:
1. Insert the included AAA alkaline batteries into the battery compartment, making sure to observe the correct polarity.
2. Press the "REC/PAUSE" button on the front of the recorder. The display will show "REC" and the recording time will begin to count up.
3. The built-in stereo microphone will start capturing audio. Position the recorder close to the sound source for optimal recording quality.
4. To pause the recording temporarily, press the "REC/PAUSE" button again. The display will show "PAUSE." Press the button again to resume recording.
5. To stop the recording, press the "STOP" button. The recording will be saved automatically.
6. To play back your recording, press the "PLAY/STOP" button. Use the "REW" and "FF" buttons to navigate through your recordings.
