To install the ASUS Prime B650-Plus-CSM motherboard, follow these steps:
1. Prepare your computer case: Ensure that your computer case is compatible with ATX form factor motherboards. Remove the side panel of the case to access the internal components.
2. Install the CPU: Open the CPU socket lever and carefully align the notches on the CPU with the socket. Gently place the CPU into the socket and close the lever to secure it in place.
3. Install the CPU cooler: Apply thermal paste to the CPU, then attach the CPU cooler to the CPU socket. Secure the cooler using the provided screws or clips.
4. Install the RAM: Insert the DDR5 memory modules into the DIMM slots, aligning the notches on the modules with the keys in the slots. Apply gentle pressure until the modules click into place.
5. Install the motherboard: Place the motherboard into the case, aligning the xxxx holes on the motherboard with the standoffs in the case. Use screws to secure the motherboard to the case.
6. Connect the power supply: Connect the main power connector (24-pin) and the CPU power connector (8-pin) from the power supply to the corresponding connectors on the motherboard.
7. Connect the storage devices: Connect your SATA or M.2 storage devices to the appropriate connectors on the motherboard. Refer to the manual for specific instructions on connecting storage devices.
8. Connect the front panel connectors: Connect the power switch, reset switch, HDD LED, and other front panel connectors from the computer case to the corresponding headers on the motherboard. Refer to the manual for the pinout diagram.
9. Connect the peripherals: Connect your keyboard, mouse, monitor, and other peripherals to the appropriate ports on the motherboard.
10. Double-check all connections: Ensure that all cables and components are securely connected. Check for any loose connections or cables that may obstruct airflow.
11. Close the computer case: Replace the side panel of the case and secure it with screws.
12. Power on the computer: Connect the power cable to the power supply and turn on the computer. If everything is connected correctly, the computer should boot up successfully.
