To connect the BLAUPUNKT WP1001 Black Water Pump to a power supply, follow these steps:
1. Ensure that the pump, power cord, and plug are not damaged before use.
2. Find an earthed socket with values corresponding to the values on the rating label of the pump.
3. Check the total current consumption of all devices plugged into the wall outlet to ensure it does not exceed the fuse in the circuit.
4. If using an extension cord, make sure the total power consumption of the equipment plugged into the extension cord does not exceed the extension cord power rating. Also, ensure the extension cord is grounded with a 3-core socket and an earth cable.
5. Connect the power cord of the pump to the earthed socket.
6. Make sure the plug is securely inserted into the socket.
7. Avoid letting the cord hang over the edge of a counter or touch any hot surface.
