To set up the ABUS PPIC44520 Wi-Fi Outdoor Camera, follow these steps:
1. Ensure that you have a Wi-Fi network with a password and encryption. The WLAN password should not exceed 31 characters.
2. Activate the "Location service" (e.g., GPS) on your smartphone or tablet that you will be using for the setup. This is required to display the networks in the surrounding area.
3. Download and install the App2Cam Plus app on your smartphone or tablet. The camera can only be used in conjunction with this app.
4. Make sure that the Bluetooth of your mobile device is activated.
5. Connect the camera to a power source and wait for it to start up. The red LED will flash quickly two times and then once for longer when it is ready.
6. Launch the App2Cam Plus app and select "Add new device" to start the setup process.
7. Scan the QR code on the back of the camera or select your camera model manually.
8. Select "Setup via Bluetooth" and make sure that Bluetooth is activated in the settings of your mobile device.
9. Follow the on-screen instructions to connect the camera to your home network/WLAN by entering the network password.
10. Assign a security code and an admin password for the camera. These must be identical during the Bluetooth setup.
11. The camera will restart, and if the startup was successful, the app will display the camera's article number in the "Overview" screen.
12. To view the live image from the camera, tap on the camera image icon or the preview image in the app.
