To connect your ATOLL DAC200 SIG Converter to your audio system, follow these steps:
1. Make sure your device is turned off before making any connections.
2. Identify the various input and output options on the DAC200 SIG Converter. These include XLR output (Right), Analog output (Right), Analog output (Left), XLR output (Left), Digital output (coaxial), Digital output (optical), Digital input 3 (optical), Digital input 2 (optical), Digital input 1 (optical), Digital input 3 (coaxial), Digital input 2 (coaxial), Digital input 1 (coaxial), AES input, USB input (type B), and Power plug.
3. Depending on your audio system, choose the appropriate connection method. For example, if you have a power amplifier, you can connect the DAC200 SIG Converter directly to it using the XLR or analog outputs. If you have an integrated or preamp, you can connect the DAC200 SIG Converter to a LINE or XLR input.
4. Use high-quality connection cords for optimal sound quality. Consult your specialist dealer for advice on choosing the right cables.
5. If you want to use the DAC200 SIG Converter as a preamp, make sure your amplifier can support a maximum input level of 5 Vrms.
6. For USB input, you need to download the appropriate driver from the ATOLL website (http://www.atoll-electronique.com/fr/...) and install it on your computer. This driver is not required for Macintosh computers.
7. When connecting optical or coaxial inputs, make sure the audio formats are within the accepted range: 16-24 bits (32 kHz, 44.1 kHz, 48 kHz, 88.2 kHz, 96 kHz, 176.4 kHz, and 192 kHz).
8. The DAC200 SIG Converter also supports DSD (DSD64 & DSD128) and PCM formats (16-24 bits, various sample rates).
9. Follow the cautions mentioned in the manual, such as not making connections when the device is powered on, keeping the device in a dry and well-ventilated place, and avoiding any short-circuits.
10. To optimize the performance of your device, it is recommended to switch it on at least half an hour before listening and let it reach its ideal working temperature.
11. Use the standby mode when not using the device for an extended period.
12. If you encounter any issues or have further questions, refer to the manual or contact ATOLL ELECTRONIQUE for support.
