To connect the Honeywell SNG-S Series Hall-Effect Speed Sensor to a power supply, you will need a regulated supply or a 12V battery. The supply voltage range for the sensor is 4.5V to 24V. For the specific models SNG-SPRF-002, SNG-SPRD-002, SNG-SPSC-001, and SNG-SPRC-001, the supply voltage should be between 8V and 16V. For models SNG-SPRD-003, SNG-SPRC-002, SNG-SPRD-004, and SNG-SPRC-003, the supply voltage should be between 4.8V and 16V. For model SNG-SPRD-004, the supply voltage can be between 4.8V and 24V.
Please note that the sensor also has reverse voltage protection, over voltage protection, and short circuit protection, as specified in the electrical specifications table in the instruction manual.
It is important to refer to the specific model's electrical specifications and the instruction manual for proper connection and power supply requirements.
