To set up the ABUS PPIC42520 Wi-Fi Pan Tilt Outdoor Camera, follow these steps:
1. Ensure that you have a Wi-Fi network with a password and encryption. The WLAN password must not exceed 31 characters.
2. Activate the "Location service" (e.g., "GPS") on your smartphone or tablet.
3. Make sure that Bluetooth is activated on your mobile device.
4. Download and install the App2Cam Plus app on your smartphone or tablet. The camera can only be used in conjunction with this app.
5. Ensure that your network has encryption enabled, as networks without encryption are not supported.
6. Connect the camera to a power source and wait for it to initialize (indicated by a flashing red LED).
7. If you encounter any difficulties during setup or have forgotten the access data, you can perform a factory reset by pressing the reset button on the side of the camera for at least 5 seconds.
8. Choose one of the installation options provided in the user guide: flush mounted cable routing or power supply surface mounting. Follow the step-by-step instructions for your chosen option.
9. Once the camera is installed, launch the App2Cam Plus app and select "Add new device" to start the setup process.
10. Scan the QR code on the back of the camera or select your camera model and choose "Setup via Bluetooth".
11. Ensure that Bluetooth is activated on your mobile device and follow the on-screen instructions to connect the camera to your smartphone or tablet.
12. Select your home network/WLAN and enter the password when prompted.
13. Assign a security code and admin password, which must be identical during the Bluetooth setup.
14. The camera will restart, and if the startup was successful, the app will display the camera's article number in the "Overview" screen.
15. To access additional settings and configure the camera, tap on the menu symbol in the menu bar at the bottom of the screen and then tap on the icon with the two gears and the camera image.
