To connect the Audizio RP310S Vinyl Record Player to your computer, follow these steps:
1. Before connecting the turntable to your computer, make sure it is unplugged from your mixer or Hi-Fi system.
2. Turn on your computer.
3. Connect the turntable to your computer using the included USB cable. Plug one end of the USB cable into the USB port on the turntable and the other end into a USB port on your computer.
4. Turn on the power switch on the turntable.
5. Your computer will detect the turntable as a new device and install the necessary drivers automatically.
6. After the drivers are installed, you need to install the Audacity software, which is included with the turntable.
- For Windows users: Insert the CD that came with the turntable or download the latest software from http://audacity.sourceforge.net. Run the file to install the Audacity software. Once installed, open the Audacity program.
- For Mac users: Insert the included CD, open the CD icon on your desktop, and drag the installation folder for Audacity to your hard drive. We recommend moving the folder to your "Applications" folder. Eject the CD and open Audacity from where you moved it on your hard drive.
7. Configure the software settings:
- In Audacity, click on "Microphone" in the drop-down menu and select "Stereo Mix."
- Go to the "Edit" menu and select "Preferences."
- Under the "Recording" selection, choose the USB audio device as the input source.
- Select "Software Playthrough" to hear the audio while recording.
8. Once the above settings are completed, you are ready to start recording. If you have trouble finding the USB turntable in the software, check your system settings or control panel to adjust the audio input settings from the sound control panel.
Note: The included Audacity software is for reference only. For more information and the latest software version, visit the website: http://www.audacity.com
