To set the date and time on the Sony ICD-SX712 Digital Flash Voice Recorder, follow these steps:
1. Power on the recorder by inserting two batteries with the correct polarity.
2. Slide the POWER/HOLD switch in the direction of "POWER" for more than 1 second to turn on the recorder.
3. Press the MENU button.
4. Use the navigation buttons (, , , ) to select the "Date & Time" option, and then press the /ENT button.
5. Use the navigation buttons to set the year, month, day, hour, and minute in sequence.
6. Press the /ENT button to confirm each setting.
7. Press the STOP button to exit the menu.
Once you have set the date and time, it will be displayed on the recorder's screen and will be recorded along with your audio files.
