To start recording with the Sony ICD-BX800 Digital Voice Recorder, follow these steps:
1. Insert the two AAA alkaline batteries into the battery compartment.
2. Press the POWER button to turn on the recorder.
3. Use the UP or DOWN arrow buttons to select the desired recording mode. The available options are HQ (high-quality stereo recording), SP (standard play), and LP (long play).
4. Press the REC/PAUSE button to start recording. The REC indicator will light up, indicating that the recorder is recording.
5. To pause the recording, press the REC/PAUSE button again. The REC indicator will flash.
6. To resume recording, press the REC/PAUSE button once more.
7. To stop the recording, press the STOP button. The recorder will save the recording and return to the standby mode.
