To adjust the recording quality settings on the Olympus WS-500 Digital Voice Recorder, please follow these steps:
1. Power on the recorder by sliding the power switch upwards.
2. Press the MENU button to enter the menu mode.
3. Use the arrow buttons (up, down, left, right) to navigate through the menu options.
4. Select "REC MODE" from the menu options and press the OK button.
5. In the "REC MODE" menu, you can choose between different recording formats, such as WMA or MP3, by using the arrow buttons.
6. Once you have selected the desired recording format, press the OK button to confirm your selection.
7. You can also adjust the bit rate (recording quality) within each recording format. Select the "BIT RATE" option in the "REC MODE" menu.
8. Use the arrow buttons to choose the desired bit rate (e.g., high, standard, low) and press the OK button to confirm your selection.
9. Press the MENU button to exit the menu mode.
Please note that adjusting the recording quality settings may affect the file size and recording time. Higher bit rates generally result in better audio quality but larger file sizes.
