To adjust the recording quality on the Sony ICD-UX300 Digital Voice Recorder, follow these steps:
1. Press the Menu button on the recorder to enter the menu mode.
2. Use the navigation buttons (up, down, left, right) to select "REC SET" and press the Play/Stop button to enter the recording settings menu.
3. Use the navigation buttons to select "REC MODE" and press the Play/Stop button to enter the recording mode options.
4. Use the navigation buttons to select the desired recording quality option. The available options may include:
- High Quality (HQ): This mode provides the highest recording quality but consumes more storage space.
- Standard Quality (SP): This mode offers a balance between recording quality and storage space.
- Long Time (LP): This mode allows for longer recording times by sacrificing some recording quality.

5. Once you have selected the desired recording quality, press the Play/Stop button to confirm your selection.
6. Press the Menu button to exit the menu mode.
