To start recording with the Sony ICD-PX720 Digital Voice Recorder, follow these steps:
1. Power on the device by sliding the POWER/HOLD switch towards the POWER side.
2. To select the recording mode, press the MODE button repeatedly until the desired mode (e.g., "REC" for normal recording) is displayed on the screen.
3. Adjust the recording settings if needed. Press the MENU button to enter the menu, use the + or - buttons to navigate, and press the PLAY/STOP button to select the desired setting. For example, you can adjust the recording quality, sensitivity, and scene select mode.
4. Position the recorder close to the sound source for optimal recording.
5. Press the REC/PAUSE button to start recording. The REC indicator will light up, and the elapsed recording time will be displayed on the screen.
