To switch between the ear mode and forehead mode on the Amplim 1701AE3 thermometer, follow these steps:
1. Ensure the thermometer is turned on and ready for use.
2. Press the mode button on the thermometer. This button is usually located on the front or side of the device.
3. The thermometer will cycle through the available measurement modes. Keep pressing the mode button until the desired mode (ear or forehead) is displayed on the screen.
4. Once the desired mode is selected, position the thermometer's probe correctly according to the chosen mode (in the ear canal for ear mode or against the forehead for forehead mode).
5. Press the measurement button to take the temperature reading.
