To charge the battery of the Canon SX500 IS Digital Camera, follow these steps:
1. Insert the battery into the battery charger (CB-2LY) provided in the box.
2. Plug the battery charger into a power outlet using the included power cord.
3. The indicator light on the charger will turn on, indicating that the battery is charging.
4. Wait for the battery to fully charge. The charging time may vary depending on the battery level.
5. Once the battery is fully charged, the indicator light will turn off.
6. Disconnect the charger from the power outlet and remove the battery from the charger.
