Replacing the carbon brushes on the Makita M9203 Finishing Sander is an important maintenance task to ensure optimal performance. Here are the steps to replace the carbon brushes:

2. Locate the carbon brushes on the tool. They are usually located on both sides of the motor housing.

7. If there were any springs or holders that came loose, reattach them to their original positions.
8. Replace the brush caps or covers and secure them with the screws.
9. After replacing both carbon brushes, inspect them to ensure they are making proper contact with the motor.
10. Finally, perform a test run of the sander to ensure that it is functioning correctly.
