To connect the ATC-1000 TCP-IP to RS232-422-485 Converter to your computer, you will need to follow these steps:
1. RS-232 Connection: Use a DB9 male-to-male cable to connect the ATC-1000's RS-232 port to your computer's RS-232 port. Connect the pins as follows:
- PIN2 (ATC-1000) to RXD (computer)
- PIN3 (ATC-1000) to TXD (computer)
- PIN5 (ATC-1000) to GND (computer)
- PIN7 (ATC-1000) to RTS (computer)
- PIN8 (ATC-1000) to CTS (computer)
2. RS-422 Connection: Use a terminal block to connect the ATC-1000's RS-422 terminals to your RS-422 device. Connect the terminals as follows:
- Terminal 1 (ATC-1000) to T+
- Terminal 2 (ATC-1000) to T-
- Terminal 3 (ATC-1000) to R+
- Terminal 4 (ATC-1000) to R-
- Terminal 5 (ATC-1000) to VIN
- Terminal 6 (ATC-1000) to GND
3. RS-485 Connection: Use a terminal block to connect the ATC-1000's RS-485 terminals to your RS-485 device. Connect the terminals as follows:
- Terminal 1 (ATC-1000) to 485+
- Terminal 2 (ATC-1000) to 485-
- Terminal 5 (ATC-1000) to VIN
- Terminal 6 (ATC-1000) to GND
4. Connect to 10/100M: Connect the ATC-1000's 10/100M port to a switch or hub using a straight-through Ethernet cable.
5. Power Supply: Power the ATC-1000 by connecting its power adapter (9V) to a power source or use an alternative DC power source.
