To install the Martec MBHM1000W Linear Mini Slimline 1000W Bathroom Heater, follow these steps:
1. Before starting the installation, ensure that you have read and understood all the instructions provided in the manual.
2. Make sure to comply with the appropriate council regulations and the Australia and New Zealand wiring rules.
3. All wiring must be carried out by a licensed electrician in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
4. Turn off the power before commencing the installation.
5. When cutting into the ceiling or wall, be careful not to damage any electrical wiring or hidden utilities.
6. Properly earth/ground the heater.
7. The heat lamp and glass shield can get hot when in use, so avoid touching them with any part of your body.
8. Ensure that the vent duct of the heater is not laid together with the vent duct of an air-fueled water heater or other open-fire appliances into the same flue to avoid dangerous gas leakage.
9. The heater must be isolated from the power by means of a plug or all-pole disconnection switch with a contact separation of at least 3mm in each pole.
10. The power cable must withstand a minimum 1 DA load.
11. The appliance is not intended for use by persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning its use.
12. Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance.
13. Install the heater in a position where switches and other controls cannot be touched by a person in the bath or shower.
