To clean and descale the BRAYER BR1140 Coffee Maker, follow these steps:
1. Before cleaning, unplug the coffee maker and let it cool down.
2. Remove the lid and wash it with a neutral detergent. Rinse and dry it.
3. Wipe the outer surface of the coffee maker body with a slightly damp cloth. Do not use abrasive detergents or solvents.
4. Do not immerse the coffee maker, base, or power cord in water or any other liquids. Do not wash the unit in the dishwasher.
5. To descale the coffee maker, you can use special scale-removing agents or household solutions like vinegar or citric acid.
- Fill the coffee maker with water one-third full and boil it.
- Add vinegar (6-9%) up to the maximal mark and leave it in the coffee maker for several hours.
- After the scale dissolves, pour out the liquid and rinse the coffee maker several times. Boil water several times to remove the smell of vinegar.
- Alternatively, dissolve 25 g of citric acid in 500 ml of hot water. Fill the coffee maker with the solution and leave it for 15-20 minutes. Pour out the liquid and rinse the coffee maker several times. Boil water several times.
- You can also use special detergents for electric kettles or coffee machines, following the instructions on their usage.
6. Clean the coffee maker from scale regularly to maintain its performance.
