To install the johansson Multi Band Converter 9645 Kit, follow these steps:
1. Safety Instructions:
- Read the safety instructions carefully before connecting the unit.
- Do not expose the unit to rain or moisture.
- Install the unit in a dry location without water infiltration or condensation.
- Avoid placing objects filled with liquids on the apparatus.
- If any liquid accidentally falls into the cabinet, disconnect the power plug and consult a qualified technician.
2. Installation:
- Pull out the power plug before making any cable connections.
- Install the unit in a well-ventilated location, keeping a minimum distance of 15 cm around the apparatus.
- Do not cover the ventilation holes with items like newspapers, tablecloths, or curtains.
- Avoid exposing the unit to heat sources or naked flames.
- Do not install the product in a dusty place.
3. Cleaning:
- Use a dry soft cloth to clean the cabinet.
- Do not use solvents.
4. Servicing:
- For any preparation or servicing needs, consult qualified personnel.
5. Package Contents:
- Ensure that the package includes 1 Stacker (converter), 1 Destacker (customer device), and 1 Manual.
6. Technical Specifications:
- The converter has inputs for 5-2150 MHz and 950-2150 MHz.
- The output frequency range is 5-3550 MHz with an "F" High-Quality connector.
- The insertion loss/gain for terrestrial signals is -1 dB and for converted satellite signals is +6 dB.
- The maximum input level is 88 dBµV for position 1 (0 dB) and 98 dBµV for position 2 (10 dB attenuation).
- The converter's power consumption is 0.7 W, and its dimensions are 125 x 115 x 45 mm.
- The customer device has inputs and outputs similar to the converter.
- The insertion loss/gain for terrestrial signals is -1 dB and for converted satellite signals is +4 dB.
- The maximum input level is 93 dBµV.
- The customer device's power consumption is also 0.7 W, and its dimensions are 140 x 90 x 40 mm.
- The converter and customer device can operate with up to 75 m CT100 or 17 VAtC coaxial cable.
7. Converter Mounting:
- Make connections between the LNB and Converter using two short F/F coaxial cables.
8. Customer Device Mounting:
- Connect the customer device to the Converter using appropriate coaxial cables.
9. Applications:
- The Multi-Band Converter allows you to upgrade your installation with a TWIN (or quad) LNBF to be connected with a dual tuner input digital receiver with a recorder (PVR) on existing cable.
- The DiSEqCTM function allows receiving signals from two satellites (e.g., Astra/Hot Bird).
