To connect the Marantz TT42P turntable to your amplifier or receiver, follow these steps:
1. Connect the audio cables to the phono-magnetic inputs of the amplifier or receiver. Use the red RCA-type plug for the right channel and the white RCA-type plug for the left channel.
2. Connect the earth wire to the earth connector of your amplifier. This helps reduce unwanted noise and interference.
3. For automatic start and speed selection, remove the stylus guard cap by pulling it forwards and disengage the tonearm and set switch to "Start". The tonearm will be lowered automatically onto the record.
4. For manual start and cue control, select the desired platter speed (33 or 45 rpm) using the switch. Swivel the stylus protection cap upwards and set the cueing lever to the down position. Position the tonearm over the lead-in groove of the record and slowly lower it using the cueing lever.
By following these steps, you can successfully connect and start using the Marantz TT42P turntable with your amplifier or receiver. For more detailed instructions, please refer to the user guide provided.
