To connect the Definitive Technology Pro Cin 800 BK Cinema 800 System to your TV, you have a few options depending on the available connections on your TV. Here are the steps for each connection method:
1. High-Level Speaker Wire Connections:
- Connect the speaker wire from the right channel high-level connector on the subwoofer to the right channel speaker connector on your receiver or amplifier.
- Repeat this process for the left channel, connecting the speaker wire from the left channel high-level connector on the subwoofer to the left channel speaker connector on your receiver or amplifier.
- Make sure to connect the red (+) terminal on the subwoofer to the red (+) terminal on your receiver or amplifier, and the black (-) terminal on your receiver or amplifier to the black (-) terminal on the subwoofer.
2. Low-Level LFE Connections:
- If your TV has an LFE (low-frequency effects) output, you can use a mono (line level) cable to connect the LFE output on your TV to the LFE low-level input on the subwoofer.
- Set your TV's audio options to output PCM for the LFE connection.
- Adjust the low pass filter control on the back of the subwoofer to optimize the transition between the subwoofer and your main speakers.
3. HDMI Connection:
- If your TV and the Definitive Technology Pro Cin 800 BK Cinema 800 System have HDMI ports, you can connect them using an HDMI cable.
- Connect one end of the HDMI cable to the HDMI ARC or eARC port on your TV.
- Connect the other end of the HDMI cable to the HDMI OUT (ARC or eARC) port on the audio device (receiver or amplifier) of the Pro Cin 800 system.
- Set your TV's audio output to use the audio device connected via HDMI.
