To connect your Logitech Z-5500 speaker system to your computer, follow these steps:
1. Check the Control Panel and software settings: In the Control Panel under "Sound" and in the software that was installed with your sound card, ensure that the "5.1" setting is enabled.
2. Check game or media player settings: In the game software, software DVD player, or other media player, make sure the "5.1" setting is enabled. Refer to the manuals that came with your PC, sound card, or other software for more details.
3. Connect the speakers: Use the appropriate cables to connect your computer to the speaker system. The Logitech Z-5500 supports various connection options, including Channel Direct Connection, 6 Channel Direct Connection, Stereo 1-3 Mode, Auxiliary Input, Digital Optical Connection, and Digital Coax Connection. Choose the connection method that suits your setup.
4. Power up the speakers: Turn on the main standby switch on the back of the subwoofer, then press the Standby/Ready button on the Soundtouch™ Digital Control Center. If the LCD screen is on and the LED on the Control Pod is blue, your system has power.
5. Select the input source: Use the "Input" button on the Soundtouch™ Digital Control Center to toggle through the inputs and select the one you want to play from. Make sure your selected input device is turned on and ready to play.
6. Adjust volume levels: Use the main xxxx or the remote control to adjust the main, subwoofer, center, and surround volume levels according to your preference.
