To connect the Yamaha SRT-700 TV Speaker Base to your TV, follow these steps:
1. Make sure both the speaker base and your TV are turned off.
2. Locate the TV input jack on the rear panel of the speaker base.
3. Connect one end of the supplied optical cable to the TV input jack on the speaker base.
4. Locate the optical output jack on your TV.
5. Connect the other end of the optical cable to the optical output jack on your TV.
6. Plug the power cable of the speaker base into an AC wall outlet.
7. Turn on your TV and set the volume to minimum.
8. Disable the TV's built-in speaker output, if available. Refer to your TV's manual for instructions on how to do this.
9. Turn on the speaker base by pressing the power button on the front panel or the remote control.
Once the connection is established, you should be able to enjoy the audio from your TV through the Yamaha SRT-700 TV Speaker Base.
