To install the GE 40532 6-Outlet Surge Protector, follow these steps:
1. Plug the surge protector into a standard grounding duplex wall receptacle. Make sure there are no exposed conductors.
2. Before plugging electronic equipment into the surge protector outlets, ensure that the equipment is turned off. Do not use extension cords to connect equipment to the surge protector.
3. Move the power switch on the surge protector to the "ON" position. This will activate the surge protection.
4. Once the surge protector is turned on, you can turn on the connected equipment.
Note: The surge protector should be providing surge protection at this point.
