To install the Belkin BSV602tt 6-Outlet Wall Surge Protector, follow these steps:
1. Choose a suitable location: Select a wall location near a power source where you want to mount the surge protector.
2. Prepare the wall: Ensure the wall surface is clean and dry. Remove any dust or debris that may interfere with the mounting process.
3. Position the surge protector: Hold the surge protector against the wall, aligning it with the desired mounting location.
4. Mark the mounting holes: Use a pencil or marker to mark the positions of the mounting holes on the wall. The surge protector should have two mounting holes.
5. Drill pilot holes: Using an appropriate drill bit, carefully drill pilot holes into the marked positions on the wall. Make sure the holes are slightly smaller than the mounting screws provided with the surge protector.
6. Secure the surge protector: Insert the mounting screws into the pilot holes and tighten them until the surge protector is securely attached to the wall. Do not over-tighten the screws.
7. Connect devices: Once the surge protector is mounted, you can connect your electronic devices to the surge-protected outlets. Make sure to plug each device securely into the appropriate outlet.
8. USB charging: If you need to charge mobile devices, you can use the dual USB ports on the surge protector. Simply connect your device's USB cable to one of the USB ports.
9. Monitor safety indicators: Keep an eye on the safety indicator lights on the surge protector to ensure that your devices are charging safely. The Protected indicator light provides reassurance that your connected equipment is secure.
