To check if the surge protector is still providing surge protection, periodically check the blue "Protected" light on the surge protector. A glowing blue indicator light indicates that surge protection is being provided. If the blue "Protected" indicator light stops glowing, it means that the surge protective components have expired and will no longer provide surge protection. In this case, the surge protector should be replaced.
