To install the GE 45170 6-Outlet Surge Protector, please follow these steps:
1. Plug the surge protector into a standard grounding duplex wall receptacle. Make sure there are no exposed conductors.
2. Before plugging your electronic equipment into the surge protector outlets, ensure that they are turned off. Do not use extension cords to connect the equipment to the surge protector.
3. Move the power switch on the surge protector to the "ON" position. This will activate the surge protection.
