To descale the Hamilton Beach 41037 Electric Tea Kettle, please follow these steps:
1. Unplug the kettle and allow it to cool.
2. Pour 1 tablespoon of white vinegar and 1/4 cup (59 mL) of water into the kettle.
3. Let the vinegar and water mixture sit in the kettle for 10 minutes.
4. Add 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 mL) of cream of tartar to the mixture.
5. Press the Power Switch down and bring the mixture to a boil.
6. Once the mixture has boiled, lift the Power Switch up to turn it off. Unplug the kettle and let it cool.
7. Rinse the kettle several times with clean tap water.
8. Rub the kettle floor with a paper towel to remove any remaining buildup.
9. Wash the kettle with soap and water, then rinse thoroughly.
Please note that using abrasive scouring pads or powders is not recommended, as they may scratch the smooth surface of the kettle. Regular descaling helps maintain the performance and longevity of the kettle.
