To clean the grids of the Presto 03512 Stuffler Stuffed Waffle Maker, follow these steps:
1. Unplug the waffle maker and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
2. Brush any loose crumbs from the waffle grids.
3. If there is baked-on batter or filling residue, apply a small amount of vegetable oil to the baked-on residue. Allow it to sit for a few minutes to soften.
4. Wipe off the residue with a paper towel or cloth. Do not use steel wool scouring pads or abrasive kitchen cleaners on the unit.
5. If filling oozes out of the stuffed waffle during baking and has baked onto the grids, you can perform a more thorough cleaning. Unplug the waffle maker and add 1 tablespoon of water to the bottom grid. Close the unit and allow it to cool to a comfortable temperature.
6. Using the dampness remaining on the grids, wipe away the residue.
7. Wash the waffle grids with a damp cloth or paper towel.
8. Do not wash the grids or the waffle maker in the dishwasher.
9. Once the grids are clean, you can use the waffle maker again for your next stuffed waffle creation.
