The wicks in the Vornado Evap40 humidifier should be replaced approximately every 4-8 weeks, depending on use. Factors such as water hardness and outside environmental conditions can also affect the life of the wicks. When the wicks become hard and are no longer absorbing water effectively, it is time to replace them. Genuine Vornado wicks are recommended for optimal performance and longevity. Other brands may not provide the same quality and may diminish the humidifier's performance. Refer to the user manual for instructions on how to replace the wicks properly.
