To set the desired temperature on the Hamilton Beach 41028 electric tea kettle, follow these steps:
1. Plug the kettle into an outlet and make sure it is properly seated on the power base.
2. Press the ON/OFF (I/ ) button to turn on the kettle. The base will display the current temperature.
3. Press the PRESET TEMP button to scroll down the thermometer icon until the desired preset temperature is highlighted.
4. If the water temperature in the kettle is above the preset temperature, the base will double-chime three times and shut off automatically. Make sure the preset temperature is higher than the water temperature in the kettle.
5. Once you have selected the desired temperature, the kettle will heat the water to that temperature and automatically shut off when it reaches it.
Note: The available preset temperatures may vary depending on the model. Refer to the control panel/display section of the user manual for specific temperature settings.
