To clean and descale the Proctor Silex K2070PS electric kettle, follow these steps:
1. Unplug the kettle and allow it to cool.
2. Empty any remaining water from the kettle.
3. Rinse the kettle with fresh water.
4. If there is scale or lime deposit build-up, add 1/2 teaspoon of cream of tartar to the kettle.
5. Fill the kettle to the maximum line with water.
6. Switch the kettle on and allow it to boil.
7. Once the kettle has boiled, switch it off and let it sit for 15 minutes.
8. Empty the kettle and rinse it with fresh water.
9. Wipe the exterior of the kettle with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive scouring pads or powders.
Please note that you should never immerse the kettle in water or other liquids, as this can pose an electric shock hazard.
