To clean the Elite Gourmet EKT1001B glass kettle, follow these steps:
1. Always disconnect the appliance from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
2. Never immerse the base or cord in water or allow moisture in these parts.
3. To remove mineral deposits and limescale, you can use a non-toxic cleaner specifically designed for descaling appliances. Alternatively, you can fill the kettle with 3 cups of white vinegar and the remainder with water. Let it stand overnight, but do not boil. Empty the solution from the kettle and rub any remaining stains inside the spout with a damp cloth. Fill the kettle with water, bring it to a boil, and then discard the water. Repeat this process if necessary.
4. The outside of the kettle can be wiped with a damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemical cleansers.
5. Clean the filter with a damp cloth at regular intervals to remove any debris.
It is recommended to descale the kettle every four to eight weeks to prevent the buildup of mineral deposits. However, you should rinse and dry the kettle thoroughly after each use to maintain it scale-free and prevent hard water from drying out.
