To set the adaptive technology to catch intermittent noises without keeping the volume consistently high, follow these steps:
1. Press the ADAPTIVE button on the Sound+Sleep machine to activate the adaptive mode. The lamp next to the ADAPTIVE button will indicate when it's active.
2. Adjust the volume to a comfortable level using the VOLUME buttons. This will be the base level volume when there are no loud noises detected.
3. When a loud noise, such as bar hollering, occurs between 12am and 2am, the adaptive mode will automatically raise the volume and/or add enhancing sounds to mask the noise.
4. Experiment with different volume levels to find the setting that works best for your specific situation. If the sound seems too low when it is quiet in your room, you can turn the volume up to a higher base level.
Note: The adaptive mode allows the Sound+Sleep to be customized to suit your personal preferences and situation. It can provide a quiet, steady sound or additional noise masking, depending on your needs. Refer to the user manual for more information on using the adaptive mode and adjusting the volume in adaptive mode.
Please refer to the Adaptive Sound Technologies ASM1002 Sleep Sound Machine User Guide for detailed instructions and additional information on using the adaptive mode and adjusting the volume.
