To connect the Klipsch R-24F Floorstanding Speaker to your amplifier or receiver, follow these steps:
1. Use a 16-12 gauge speaker wire.
2. Connect the RED "positive" (+) terminal of the LEFT speaker to the RED "positive" (+) terminal of your amplifier's LEFT channel.
3. Connect the BLACK "negative" (-) terminal of the LEFT speaker to the BLACK "negative" (-) terminal of your amplifier's LEFT channel.
4. Repeat the above steps for connecting all remaining speakers to the appropriate amplifier channels.
5. Make sure that no bare wires from any of the connections touch any other terminals to avoid shorting and damaging your equipment.
6. Some Klipsch Reference speakers come with dual binding posts that are connected by a metal strip. Do not remove this strip as it is necessary for correct speaker functioning.
7. If your speaker has two sets of binding posts, it is possible to "Bi-wire" the speaker. Please refer to your receiver's manual for further instructions.
Note: Klipsch speakers are highly efficient and can be driven by a wide variety of amplifiers. However, it is important to exercise caution with the volume control to avoid damaging your hearing or speakers. Check with your dealer or amplifier manual to ensure compatibility with your specific amplifier.
