Cleaning the ConairMAN Super Stubble trimmer is important for maintaining its performance. You can remove the blade from the trimmer to clean it inside. Here's how:
1. Switch off the trimmer and remove the power cord if it's connected.
2. Detach the comb guide by gently lifting the front of the comb guide from both sides and flipping it over to the back of the unit. Lock it into position by clicking it securely onto the fastener on the back of the handle.
3. Use the cleaning brush supplied with the trimmer to brush away any hair and debris. Avoid using a sharp object to clean the trimmer blade.
4. The blades can be removed to aid cleaning. Hold the handle of the trimmer with one hand and place your thumb underneath the blades. Push the blades away from the handle to remove them.
5. Gently blow away any hair trapped beneath the blades.
6. The blades can be rinsed under the tap. After rinsing, they may need to be oiled (see oiling instructions in the manual).
7. Before re-attaching the blade to the trimmer, ensure the blades are dry and the moving blade is in the center.
8. Please do not use any chemical liquids when cleaning the trimmer.
9. Ensure you clean the blades after each use and before storing them away.
Note: It is highly recommended to oil the blades from time to time with the oil provided. This ensures optimum cutting performance. For the first use, you will need to use the oil supplied with the product. Gently squeeze the oil tube and apply 2 drops of oil onto the blades while the unit is switched on. Leave the unit on for a few seconds to allow the oil to spread thoroughly. Switch off the unit and remove any excess oil by gently dabbing with a cloth.
