To set the self-timer on the Fujifilm FinePix F40fd Digital Camera, follow these steps:
1. Turn on the camera and press the "Menu/OK" button to access the menu.
2. Use the arrow keys to navigate to the "Shooting" tab in the menu.
3. Select "Self-Timer" from the shooting menu options and press the "Menu/OK" button.
4. Choose the desired self-timer delay option (2 seconds or 10 seconds) using the arrow keys.
5. Press the "Menu/OK" button to confirm the selection.
Once the self-timer is set, you can compose your shot and press the shutter button. The camera will wait for the specified delay before capturing the photo.
