The Rolls PM351 Personal Monitor Station can be powered in two ways. The most common method is to use the included external AC adapter, which needs to be connected to an active AC outlet. The power supply steps down the voltage to 12VDC, which is the required voltage for the PM351. Simply connect the DC IN 9 - 15 VDC jack on the PM351 to the power adapter.
Alternatively, there is a remote powering feature that allows you to send the 12VDC power to the unit via the LINE INPUT ring connection. However, it's important to note that this feature should only be used if you are familiar with the process and confident in doing it correctly. If you are unsure, it is recommended to contact a qualified service technician for assistance.
It's important to mention that the PM351 cannot be powered by standard 48 Volt Phantom Power supplied by mixers or phantom power adapters. The current (amperes) provided by phantom power is insufficient to power the PM351, and any voltage greater than 16 VDC will damage the unit.
