To set the self-timer on the Fujifilm FinePix-F500EXR digital camera, follow these steps:
1. Turn on the camera and press the "Menu/OK" button to access the menu.
2. Use the arrow keys to navigate to the "Shooting" tab in the menu.
3. Select "Self-Timer" from the shooting menu options and press the "Menu/OK" button.
4. Choose the desired self-timer delay option (2 seconds or 10 seconds) and press the "Menu/OK" button to confirm your selection.
5. Frame your shot and press the shutter button halfway to focus.
6. Press the shutter button fully to start the self-timer countdown. The camera will beep and the self-timer lamp will blink to indicate the countdown.
7. Quickly get into position before the self-timer expires, and the camera will automatically capture the photo.
