Sure! Here are the step-by-step instructions for installing the Comfort Zone CZ230ER 7500-Watt Digital Thermostat heater:
1. Mounting the Bracket:
a. Locate a stud in the ceiling joist.
b. Remove the mounting bracket from the heating unit by loosening the bracket thumb screws.
c. Drill a 4" pilot hole in the ceiling joist.
d. Place a washer on screws before inserting them through the holes in the mounting bracket and xxxx them securely into a ceiling joist.
Note: If you want to swivel the heater, adding a washer to both sides of the bracket is recommended. A longer lag bolt may be required for proper installation.
2. Hanging the Heater:
a. Attach the heating unit to the mounting bracket.
b. Lift the heater up and into the mounting bracket.
c. Align the bracket screws with the keyhole slots in the mounting bracket.
d. If you want to tilt the heater, position it in the bottom keyhole slots of the mounting bracket.
e. Tighten the bracket screws with a wrench to securely suspend the unit horizontally or vertically.
3. Connecting the Power:
a. Remove the xxxx from the front of the unit to connect the power to the heater.
b. Attach the cable connectors to the unit and slide the 10-gauge wire through the cable connector.
Note: This appliance must be grounded. Proper size fuses and circuit breakers in accordance with the National Electric Code must be used. The appliance must connect to a current protection circuit or device at 50 Amp or less before connecting to the power supply.
c. Pull enough properly sized wire through the cable connector and connect the wire to the power block located in the base of the heater.
d. Turn on the power at the main service.
