The Crown XLi2500 2-channel amplifier can power multiple speakers. The number of speakers you can connect depends on the impedance of the speakers and the wiring configuration you choose.
If your speakers have an impedance of 4 ohms, you can connect up to two speakers to each channel of the amplifier. You can use either parallel wiring or series wiring to connect the speakers.
In parallel wiring, the positive terminals of the speakers are connected to the positive terminal of the amplifier, and the negative terminals of the speakers are connected to the negative terminal of the amplifier. This configuration allows the amplifier to distribute the power evenly between the speakers.
In series wiring, the positive terminal of one speaker is connected to the negative terminal of the other speaker, and the remaining positive and negative terminals are connected to the corresponding terminals of the amplifier. This configuration increases the overall impedance of the speakers, which can be beneficial if your amplifier has a minimum impedance requirement.
It's important to note that the total impedance of the speakers should not go below the minimum impedance rating of the amplifier. Refer to the amplifier's manual or specifications to determine the minimum impedance rating.
