To connect the Sony SS-CS5 bookshelf speakers to an amplifier, follow these steps:
1. Make sure the power to all components, including the subwoofer, is turned off before starting the connection process.
2. Use speaker cords (not supplied) to connect the speakers to the speaker output terminals of the amplifier. Make sure to match the plus (+) and minus (–) terminals on the speakers to the corresponding plus (+) and minus (–) terminals on the amplifier.
3. Tighten the speaker terminals by turning them in the direction of the arrows in the illustration provided in the manual.
4. Ensure all connections are firm to avoid any short-circuits. Contact between bare speaker wires at the speaker terminals may cause a short-circuit.
5. Refer to the operating instructions supplied with your amplifier for details on speaker connection.
Tip: The black striped wires are minus (–) in polarity and should be connected to the minus (–) speaker terminals.
By following these steps, you should be able to successfully connect the Sony SS-CS5 bookshelf speakers to your amplifier.
