To connect the Fluance PA10 High Fidelity Phono Preamp to your turntable and amplifier, follow these steps:
1. Turntable Connection:
a. Check if your turntable has an internal phono preamplifier. If it does, disable or bypass it according to the turntable manual or contact the turntable manufacturer for instructions.
b. Connect an RCA cable and ground cable from your turntable to the Phono RCA Input and Ground Terminal on the PA10.
2. Amplifier/Powered Speaker Connection:
a. Connect an RCA cable and ground cable from the RCA Output and Ground Terminal on the PA10 to an RCA input and ground terminal on your amplifier or powered speakers.
b. If your powered speakers or amplifier do not have a ground terminal, you can achieve the same result by loosening a xxxx on the chassis, inserting the ground cable, and tightening the xxxx .
3. Power Connection:
a. Ensure that your receiver or speakers are turned off.
b. Connect the power adapter to the back of the PA10.
c. Plug the other end of the power adapter directly into a wall outlet. The Power LED on the PA10 will indicate that it is receiving power.
Note: Do not connect the RCA line output of the PA10 to any input labeled PHONO on your amplifier or powered speakers, as it may use an internal preamplifier that can over-amplify the audio signal and potentially damage your speakers.
