To connect your Polk Audio HTS10 subwoofer to your receiver, you have a few options depending on the features of your receiver. The most common method is to use the "Sub Out" feature on your receiver. Here are the steps:
1. Locate the "Sub Out" port on your receiver. It is usually labeled as such and is typically an RCA output.
2. Take an RCA cable and connect one end to the "Sub Out" port on your receiver.
3. Locate the LFE (Low-Frequency Effects) input on the back of your HTS10 subwoofer. It is also an RCA input and is usually labeled as such.
4. Connect the other end of the RCA cable to the LFE input on your subwoofer.
5. Make sure the subwoofer is powered on and set to the correct input/source.
6. Adjust the settings on your receiver to enable the subwoofer. This may involve going into the receiver's menu or settings and selecting the appropriate speaker configuration. Set the subwoofer to "ON," "YES," or "PRESENT."
7. Test the connection by playing audio through your system. You should now hear the deep bass coming from your subwoofer.
Note: If your receiver does not have a dedicated "Sub Out" feature, you can use the full-range "Pre Out" jacks on your receiver. In this case, you will need to adjust the settings on your receiver accordingly and connect the left and right preamp outputs to the left and right LINE LEVEL inputs on the subwoofer.
