To use the Bellman & Symfon Mino Personal Sound Amplifier with headphones, follow these steps:
1. Charging: Before using the device, make sure it is fully charged. The Mino has a rechargeable lithium-ion battery that can run for up to 18 hours on a single charge. It takes approximately 2.5 hours to fully recharge. The device also has a low battery indicator to let you know when it needs to be charged.
2. Connecting Headphones: The Mino Personal Sound Amplifier can be paired with different audio accessories for the best fit and comfort. You can use either headphones, earphones, or stetoclips.
- Headphones: The headphones provided with the Mino are semi-closed drivers with a 3.9-foot wire and a 3.5 mm stereo jack plug. They are sturdy, easy to put on, and adjustable in size.
- Earphones: The earphones provided with the Mino are close drivers that minimize sound leakage and provide excellent noise isolation. They have a 3.9-foot wire with a 3.5 mm stereo jack plug. These earphones are more covert and fit comfortably in the outer part of the ear.
- Stetoclips: The stetoclips provided with the Mino are lightweight, comfortable, and easy to put on and take off. They have a 4.9-foot-long cord with a 3.5 mm audio connection. The stetoclips sit below the chin and are out of the way, making them suitable for seniors with poor dexterity.
3. Using the Device: The Mino Personal Sound Amplifier is designed to be easy to use.
- Directional Microphone: The Mino has a directional microphone that allows you to place the device in front of the person you are speaking to. Adjust the volume to hear their voice clearly. The device has a single-purpose button for each function, making it simple to use. You can reduce background noise by clicking the microphone button.
- Listening to External Source: If you want to listen to an external source, such as a CD or phone, while hearing background sounds, you can use the Mino's directional microphone. Press the MIC button (Red LED) and point the Mino towards the external source. This will amplify the sounds from the external source with reduced background noise. If you want to hear both the external source and the background sounds simultaneously, you can use the omni-directional microphone function (Green LED).
4. Carrying Options: The Mino Amplifier comes with a belt clip attached and a lanyard included in the package. You can use the belt clip or wear the device around your neck using the lanyard for convenience.
