The Cerwin Vega H746 Series 2-Way Coaxial Speakers can be installed in various locations in your vehicle. It is important to mount the speakers securely to a flat surface known as a baffle to isolate the front sound waves from the rear sound waves. Make sure to seal the speakers to ensure there are no air leaks around the frame. If your vehicle has existing factory locations, it is recommended to replace them with the same size speakers. If not using factory locations, you can mount the speakers in the doors or the rear deck. When mounting in the doors, make sure to check for clearance and avoid cutting any structural metal support. It is also recommended to use a sound-deadening mat on the door "skin" for better sound quality. For rear deck mounting, there are two methods: top mounting and bottom mounting. Both methods require a good seal around the frame. If new wiring needs to be run, use a grommet when running the wire through metal to prevent damage. When installing tweeters, ensure the desired location can accommodate the hole sizes and depth required. The tweeters can be flush or surface mounted. When installing crossovers, install them in a well-ventilated area and behind the door panel instead of inside the door itself. Connect the input side labeled "AMP" to the amplifier's speaker output terminals, and connect the middle terminals labeled "MID" to the midrange speaker. Finally, connect the end terminals labeled "TWT" to the tweeter, observing correct polarity.
