To connect the Definitive Technology SR-9040 surround speakers to your audio system, follow these steps:
1. Strip 1/4" (6mm) of wire insulation from the speaker wire.
2. Identify the markings on the wire and assign a positive (+) and negative (-) designation.
3. Unscrew the binding post on the back of the speaker.
4. Insert the stripped wire into the binding post.
5. Tighten the binding post until the wire is securely held in place.
6. Repeat the process for the other speaker, ensuring that you maintain consistency in connecting positive to positive and negative to negative on both channels.
It is important to note that the speaker should always be connected to the receiver or amplifier with the positive (+) terminal connected to the corresponding positive terminal on the receiver or amplifier, and the negative (-) terminal connected to the corresponding negative terminal.
