To change the brushing mode on the Philips HX9954-56 Rechargeable Electric Power Toothbrush, you can use the mode/intensity button located on the handle. Here are the steps:
1. Press the mode/intensity button before brushing to change the mode.
2. The toothbrush has 5 different modes: Clean mode, White+ mode, Gum Health mode, DeepClean+ mode, and Tongue Care mode (specific types only).
3. Each mode is designed for specific oral care needs and comes with recommended intensity levels and brush heads.
4. The Clean mode is a 2-minute mode recommended for a thorough and complete clean. It is recommended to be used with intensity level 3 and the Premium Plaque Defense brush head.
5. The White+ mode is a 2-minute 40-seconds mode recommended for stain removal. It is recommended to be used with intensity level 3 and the Premium White brush head.
6. The Gum Health mode is a 3-minute 20-seconds mode recommended for gum care. It is recommended to be used with intensity level 3 and the Premium Gum Care brush head.
7. The DeepClean+ mode has different lengths depending on whether it is connected to the app or not. In connected mode, it runs for two minutes and provides BrushPacer feedback every 20 seconds. In non-connected mode, it runs for three minutes and provides BrushPacer feedback every 30 seconds. It is recommended for a deep clean and can be used with various brush heads.
8. The Tongue Care mode is a 20-second mode recommended for tongue cleaning. It is recommended to be used with intensity level 1 and the Tongue Care+ brush head (specific types only).
9. The toothbrush handle automatically recognizes the brush head and selects the recommended mode and intensity level for optimal brushing performance.
10. If you want to manually adjust the mode or intensity, you can do so by pressing the mode/intensity button while brushing.
11. The selected mode and intensity level will be remembered for the next use with the same brush head.
12. If you want to go back to the initial recommended settings for your brush head, manually change it to the recommended setting described in the user manual.
Please refer to the user manual for more detailed instructions and information on each brushing mode and intensity level.
